Digital Valley, Visakhapatnam - Andhra Pradesh

Unlike before, Citizen Hack '18 is going offbeat this year with introducing a zonal selection process at three facilities Miracle Valley - Visakhapatnam, Sri Vasavi Engineering College - Tadepalligudem and KL University - Guntur, where 10 best teams from each zone will be selected for the final battle. This hackfest is going to be much mightier as it will open a horizon to explore and showcase expertise over some fun-lovin latest technologies. With a competitive and a harassment free environment along with the mentorship of the experts and technologists, the participants can effortlessly build a roadmap towards their goals.

Citizen Hack will be commenced on 1st December, 2018 at Miracle Valley - Visakhapatnam, 3rd December, 2018 at Sri Vasavi Engineering College - Tadepalligudem, and 5th December, 2018 at KL University - Guntur. The top 10 teams from each of the 3 locations will compete in the final round conducted at our facilities Miracle Heights, Rushikonda - Visakhapatnam on 15th December, 2018.

Event Rules and Details

  • Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 members and maximum of 4 members - All students must be either 3rd year MCA (or) 3rd/4th year B.Tech students
  • All team members must bring their own individual laptops - WIFI, power and seating will be provided by Miracle
  • Final 40 teams will be selected by Miracle - not all teams that are registered will be selected
  • Any detection of plagiarism, misconduct (or) unlawful behavior will result in disqualification of the team from the event
  • All the teams must participate in the full event

Scoring and Judging

The scoring process will include the review of the final demonstration and presentation along with the overall performance and attitude of the team throughout the event. The following elements will be used to judge the performance and points,

  • Originality of the idea
  • Feasibility of the solution
  • Code Quality and UI/UX of Application
  • Percentage of completion towards solution
  • Time, Task and Team Management
  • Overall behavior and attitude of team
  • Demo and Presentation Quality

Selection Process Timeline

  • Citizen Hack Registrations Open on November 19th, 2018 (Monday)
  • Registrations for Citizen Hack close on November 28th, 2018 (Wednesday)
  • Final 40 teams announced on December 8th, 2018 (Saturday)
  • Teams compete on December 15th, 2018 (Saturday)!
  • The winner will get exciting prizes and a guaranteed job
